Euro-Asia Economic Forum to be held in Sept
The 2013 Euro-Asia Economic Forum will be held from Sept 26 to 28 in Xi'an, the capital city of Shaanxi province. The 2013 Euro-Asia Economic Forum standing committee was established in Beijing on July 5.
The forum will have more than 50 meetings covering different fields, including the opening ceremony, Global Sustainable Monetary Summit, International Conference of New Energy, Clean Coal Technology Conference, Nanotechnology Assembly, Low Carbon Summit, Land Bridge Logistics and Modern Service Conference, Sino-Italy Culture and Economic Development Forum and Think Tank Conferences of the Euro-Asia Economic Forum. It will also host several parallel activities, such as meetings on financial cooperation, energy development, economic growth, cultural heritage, education, new technology, tourism development and environmental protection.
The forum plans to invite politicians, ministerial officials, local leaders, representatives of international organizations, heads of large enterprises, experts and scholars to participate in the forums.
It is the first time that the forum will work together with an international conference company, which is a sign of specialization and market-orientation.
The Euro-Asia Economic Forum is dominated by Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries, and it is also an international conference of the Eurasian region.
The biennial forum was launched in 2005 and has been held four times. Xi'an was named the permanent venue for the forum in April 2007. The first standing committee of the forum was established by the sponsors and organizers of the Euro-Asia Economic Forum on June 5, 2013.
