Chu Xiangyin, vice-president of the China Convention & Exhibition Society, said during an interview on May 29 that the renaming of the expo to the China-Northeast Asia Expo upgrades the level of the expo from a regional one to a national one. The new name will help attract more business opportunities to join this expo.
From Chu’s point of view, the expo is one of the best among all the government-held exhibitions, as it has been successfully held eight consecutive times. The expo could not have been successful without the government’s support and the market feasibility and experiences that the expo gains from the market revolution.
Chu also said, while talking about the directions of improvement, there are two points worth mentioning. The expo’s new co-organizers will bring more resources for the event, but on the other hand, it sets a high requirement for our capabilities of coordination. It will be a very good opportunity if the new co-organizers will attract more resources both at home and abroad to this event. Also, market is the key for the expo’s sustainable development. To make the expo larger and more influential, it requires more strength in market promotion, as well as seeking more cooperation and opportunities. The expo this year will strive to be larger in scale, with a higher standard, more vivid environment and more trade value. It will seek constant revolution, innovation and upgrading.
