Just like other regional expositions, the China-Northeast Asia Expo has strategic meaning on the national level, Zhang Yunling, researcher from the Chinese Academy of Science, said during an interview.

Zhang said that the Northeast Asia Expo carries a national strategic mission, therefore, national organizations and the provincial government shall give necessary support to it. The upgrading of the expo in content and level provides a good opportunity for the development of Northeast China, especially at a time when China is experiencing industrial transformation. It has taken the lead in the global economy, allowing the expo to attract more interest from the world.

The expo serves as a driving force to promote the prosperity and development of Northeast China. To achieve that goal, Zhang said that the priority is to highlight the features of the region. Second, the expo should focus on national cooperation among Northeast Asian countries. What’s more, the expo will show the transformation of the economic development model in China through enterprises, technologies and cultural forums, displaying two kinds of transformation, a sustainable economy and an inclusive society.
