Shanghai's first public charitable fundraising platform, Ji Shan Di ("goodness collecting place"), was established in Pudong, Shanghai, on August 24.
The charitable market, organized by Ji Shan Di, is a place where citizens, welfare institutions and enterprises can sell items in exchange for donations. In order to ensure that people who want to help can make purchases at reasonable prices, all items will be verified by public welfare institutions, and prices will be set between the wholesale and retail price.
Revenues and expenditures of all charitable markets will be published on the platform. The use of each donation is based on votes. All donations from charitable markets will be deposited to a public welfare institution agreed on by the members.
