Representatives of the Economic Development Zone of Weinan city, Shaanxi province, attended the first Yellow River Golden Triangle Investment and Cooperation Symposium, with the aim of identifying cooperation opportunities so as to further the zone's development.
Shi Jie, deputy director of the zone's administration committee, said that the zone is promoting three key projects at the symposium for investors and cooperators: a modern agricultural demonstration park, food and beverage packing production base, and electronic information and cloud computing center, which require an investment of about 4 billion yuan ($657 million).
Shi said that the projects are expected to contribute annual output value of 1.5 billion yuan.
The symposium, which was held from Oct 28 to 30, was sponsored by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce and the governments of three neighboring cities of Weinan, Yuncheng and Linfen in Shanxi province and Sanmenxia in Henan province, with the aim of further developing cooperation among the cities and to promote their social and economic development.
