The "Cloud-Ink Legend" Technology and Culture Week was held from Dec 6 to 12 in the Zhongguncun Software Park, with the aim of promoting integration, innovation and development of technology and culture and to set up an interactive platform for high-tech enterprises and cultural organizations.
The week was sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission and the administrative committee of Zhongguancun Science Park, and hosted by the Zhongguancun Innovative Culture Promotion Association and Beijing Zhonguancun Software Park Development Ltd.
Nearly 200 people - including government officials, representatives of cultural organizations, executives of technology enterprises in the science park and journalists from major media organizations – attended the opening ceremony on Dec 6.
Ma Shengjie, deputy director of the administrative committee of Zhongguancun Science Park, and Liu Kefeng, general manager of Zhongguancun Software Park, gave speeches, and Yao Wei, president of Beijing Dayang Development Ltd, and Xing Junqin, representing the Chinese Military Museum, gave keynote speeches on the most up-to-date broadcasting technology - and achievements integrating both culture and technology.
The organizers also invited ten artists who created an improvised performance involving paintings and calligraphy. In addition, a charity auction of 66 donated works of art was held on the opening day.
The technology and culture week included a Contemporary Art and Calligraphy Exhibition by Chinese Masters, Technology Products Exhibition, Products of Zhongguancun Yunyin Press Exhibition and an exhibition of sculptures by Shu Yong.
