Tianjin's Binhai International Airport has recently deployed a male-only checkpoint for security inspection in response to the booming number of passengers following the Chinese New Year period, according to the airport.
The new checkpoint is expected to reduce the waiting time for security inspections in the post-holiday period. Male and female passengers will be separately inspected during peak hours at Binhan Airport, the international airport of Tianjin municipality, and male passengers will be searched by male security personnel only.
Only female security officers are allowed to search female passengers, according to the airport security regulation in China, which increases the work for female security personnel during peak hours due to the fact that they had to search both male and female passengers. The new checkpoint for male passengers will ease the female security guards' workload.
