A meeting was held this week to prepare for the 2014 Tianjin Summer Davos Forum. Leaders from the National Development and Reform Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Public Security, the State Council Information Office and other departments heard progress reports on the preparation work.
Work for the forum had begun in agenda setting, volunteer service, transportation and port, publicity, venue building, and security.
The prep office for Tianjin Summer Davos Forum said Tianjin will speed up the construction of facilities, improve service standards, implement preparation work for the forum, and make efforts to hold an innovative world economic forum of high standards.
In line with the principle of holding forums in an economical way, Tianjin will make preparations based on the requirement of “early planning, coordination, arrangement”. The forum will incorporate the development and cultural elements of China’s economy and Tianjin’s economy into this year’s theme, and let the voice of China and Tianjin be heard all over the world.
