The Chinese coordinating group of this year’s Tianjin Summer Davos Forum convened a meeting in Beijing on July 28, with attendees from several related institutions, including China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China’s State Council Information Office, and local authorities in Tianjin.
Being the 8th Summer Davos Forum in China, this year’s forum in Tianjin features proper thrift and environmentally-friendly attitudes, said Hu Zucai, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission in the meeting.
All departments concerned need to hurry their pace in preparing for the forum, which is scheduled to open in September, Hu added.
Besides, the forum, which will focus on the economic development of both China and the world, is widely perceived as an indication of the future world economy, said Ren Xuefeng, vice-mayor of the city.
