Harvest begins for Turpan Grape Festival

A total of 45 acres of grapes are waiting to be picked for Turpan's traditional grape festival. This year, they will be shipped and sold all over the country, where tests will be funded by the local government.

Situated in Xinjiang, Turpan's grapes come in over 500 varieties which is why it is nicknamed the World Grape Botanical Garden. The area has sold over 200,000 tons of fresh grapes so far.
