Themed "Science and Dream", the summer camp lured over 600 students from eight schools in Shanghai and 18 schools in Taiwan. They participated in interactive activities and watched scientific shows and movies to gain knowledge and broaden their horizons.

The summer camp is aimed at promoting scientific knowledge among teenagers, motivating them to learn science and building friendship between teenagers from Shanghai and Taiwan.

Additional forums will be held during the summer camp to allow students to share their experiences about increasing scientific knowledge and listen to speeches on spaceflight and polar exploration. They will also visit the China Maritime Museum, Shanghai Auto Museum and other scientific museums.

The camp is organized by the Association for the Promotion of Cross-Straits Communication (Shanghai), the Shanghai Commission of Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League, the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology and middle schools in Shanghai.
