The Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) organized volunteers from Ruici Hospital to conduct free physical examinations for about 500 children of migrant workers in the area’s Xiaohai subdistrict on Oct 17.
The activity aimed to diagnose and eliminate the diseases and health problems of the children and enable them to obtain a prophylactic awareness.
The area has been providing free physical examination services for migrant worker’s children since 2013. Nearly 400 children in Zhuxing subdistrict received the examination last year. NETDA is expected to serve 4,000 children in the area in the next year or two.
