The 16th High-Tech Fair will be held from Nov 16 in Shenzhen Conventional and Exhibition Center. On the morning of Oct 6, a High-Tech Fair Mobilization Convention was held in Shenzhen and preparation works of this year's High-Tech Fair were arranged.

On Oct 16, 2014, Xu Qin, mayor of Shenzhen gave a speech at the 16th High-Tech Fair Mobilization Convention.

Xu Qin, mayor of Shenzhen and director of the High-Tech Fair Organizing Committee, stressed that the government should fully understand the significant meaning of holding this year's High-Tech Fair from a national strategic perspective, aiming at a world class fair, continuously enhancing levels of marketization, professionalization and internationalization, as well as sparing no efforts to hold a highly professional high-tech fair in order to make a contribution to realize the "three changes" – that is,"made in China" should change to "created in China", " China speed" to "China quality" and "Chinese product" to " Chinese brand".

The theme of this High-Tech Fair is "Insistence on innovation, acceleration of green development". Six sectors, such as high-tech results trading, professional technology and a products exhibition will be set up. The total exhibition area will exceed 110,000 square meters. More than 100 delegations, about 3,000 exhibitors and 10,000 projects from about 50 countries will participate in the exhibition, trading and negotiation. It is expected that there will be more than 500,000 visitors and merchants from home and abroad attending the fair.

Currently, the recruiting work has come to an end. Work on organizing the forum and inviting guests has entered its critical follow-up stage. Services, publicity, security, reception, hygiene and disease prevention have all been started.
