A guide to the China Hi-Tech Fair 2014

Hall 1

Part 1 INTERNATIONAL STAND AREA

Contents: Companies and organizations from more than 50 countries and regions are demonstrate their latest technologies and high-tech products and seeking partners for new projects.

The counties and regions include Australia, Brazil, Belgium, Germany, France, Japan, Russia and the United States.

Part 2 IT OF CHTF

Contents: An exhibition of information technology products, which focuses on cloud computing, the integration of the telecommunications network, the broadcasting network and the Internet, the Internet of Things, mobile Internet and smart panels.

Part 3 ENERGY SAVING EXHIBITION & NEW ENERGY EXHIBITION

Contents: A green building showcase with a focus on cutting-edge technologies and products in the fields of green lighting, energy conservation and environment protection, water purified treatment, garbage treatment, energy-saving lighting, new energy and e-vehicles.

Hall 2 ELEXCON OF CHTF

Contents: ELEXCON is one of the most popular shows in China for electronic components, materials and assembly. It offers products, technologies and solutions for the Internet of Things and smart industry to help upgrade traditional markets to be scaled-down, green, smart and Internet-connected.Exhibitors will provide products, technologies and solutions to cover the sectors of mobile phones, consumer electronics, smart homes, IT, Internet communications, security, LED lighting, power, medical electronics and auto electronics.

Hall 3 DISPLAY & TOUCH EXPO

Contents: The Display and Touch EXPO has operated at the China Hi-Tech Fair since 2004 and was the largest FPD and TP expo in South China. This year the exhibition has added touch and control applications to keep up with new trends.

Hall 4 MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Contents: The hall brings together a group of China's leading manufacturers and their latest modes of e-vehicles, core components for e-vehicles and related infrastructure. The emerging idea of the Internet of Vehicles and the related applications will also be displayed.

Hall 5 CHINESE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES

Contents: The Chinese Academy of Sciences and its subsidiaries are demonstrating their capabilities in developing technologies, project consultancy, public testing and the operation and management of intellectual property to government, enterprises and communities.A robot zone displays the latest products by its subsidiary Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology.

Hall 6 SMART CITY EXPO

Contents: The hall is separated into nine zones that provide a complete solution for a smart city, including demonstrations, presentations, seminars, connections between manufacturing and research, technological exchanges, case studies, release and financing.

Hall 7 MINISTRY OF COMMERCE

Contents: The Ministry of Commerce aims to showcase a group of State-level innovation parks that use technologies to promote trades and companies that have developed technologies in the fields of bio-medicine, new materials, new energy, energy conservation, chemistry, aerospace as well as optical, mechanical and electronic integration.

Hall 8

Part 1 MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Contents: An exhibition of about 200 items showcase new technologies as well as inventions and achievements that won the National Science and Technology Award.A real-size model of China's first lunar rover, or Jade Rabbit, will be displayed in the hall. Other items include unmanned helicopters that could be used for ocean surveillance, geographic mapping and nuclear leakage, robots that are capable of removing explosive devices and drone aircrafts that can imitate cruise missiles at low or very low altitudes.

Part 2 MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE

Contents: The Ministry of Agriculture is displaying innovations and technologies that promote eco-civilization for the creation of more scenic villages and communities. These include a new fertilizer that improves the quality of fruit-tree leaves, a method to clean fresh-water aquariums and technologies that restore soil polluted by heavy metals.

Part 3 MINISTRY OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OFFICE

Contents: A display of high-tech products and technologies in the fields of the Internet of Things, cloud computing, smart homes and smart cities. Onsite consultancy on IP issues is also available.

Hall 9

Part 1 DOMESTIC PROVINCES & CITIES

Contents: A total of 35 delegations from China, including the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions, are displaying their latest achievements and projects in terms of advanced manufacturing, information technology, green and low-carbon development and agriculture.

Part 2 DOMESTIC UNIVERSITIES

Contents: More than 20 universities from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong are displaying their research advantages.The universities include Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
