Zhanjiang ready for China Ocean Economy Expo

The 2014 China Ocean Economy Expo is ready to start, said organizers at a press conference at the Olympic Center in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province on Dec 2.

The press conference of the 2014 China Ocean Economy Expo draws many reporters.

The event started on Dec 3 and will run through Dec 7 at the Olympic Center in Zhanjiang. Organized by the Guangdong provincial government and the State Oceanic Administration, it is China’s one and only state comprehensive oceanic exposition.

With the theme of “Ocean in Blue, Sailing with a Dream”, the 215,000-sqm expo is composed of five pavilions and three sections, where marine resources, oceanic ships and equipment, marine fishing and tourism as well as measures to preserve marine ecological environment will be showcased. In addition, a series of themed summits, seminars and promotional events will be held during the event.

The expo has also attracted exhibitors from more than 20 countries, such as Brazil, Italy, the Netherlands, Puerto Rico and Singapore.
