China South City, a rising star in Jiangxi
The 2014 national network media tour in Jiangxi kicked off at China South City, a large-scale business and logistics center in Nanchang, Jiangxi province, on Dec 8.
As the first stop of the national media tour, China South City is a large integrated business and logistics center that serves as a driving force for Jiangxi's economic growth. With a total investment of over 10 billion yuan ($1.62 billion), the 4.28-million-square-meter area includes logistics areas, storage houses, commercial areas, an office building, a shopping mall, hotels and residence buildings. It also has peers in Shenzhen, Nanning, Xi'an, Zhenzhou, Harbin, Hefei and Chongqing.
To date, China South City has held various activities, including a shopping festival and a trade fair for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan products, bringing flocks of visitors to the area and economic benefits for the shops here.
Targeting the development of e-commerce, China South City opened an e-commerce entrepreneurship base for university students, providing them with one-stop services, such as training, supply of goods, logistics and small loans.
The city enjoys an advantageous location that is close to the high-speed railway station, expressways and subways. In the future, China South City aims to attract more than 30,000 businesses to settle down and generate annual trade volume of 100 billion yuan.
