Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, part of China’s bread basket, recently announced at a news conference held by the fair’s organizer in Harbin, capital of the province, its participation in this May’s SIAL China 2015, Asia’s No 1 food fair, which will take place in Shanghai..
The organizer of the fair said it will invite professional buyers to reach more deals with agricultural producers from honorary participating provinces like Heilongjiang, East China’s Shandong and Zhejiang provinces, during the three-day event, from May 6 to 8.
The Heilongjiang branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, or CCPIT, will call for local agricultural producers to exhibit their high quality natural foods at the province’s 558-square meter exhibition booth from March, said an official of the branch.
The honorary provinces will be provided more branding services, such as media exposure on domestic and foreign media, as well as trade promotion activities targeting the most potential market in China and abroad.
SIAL China is sponsored by Comexposium, one of the European leaders in the organization of trade fairs and shows in France, and the China Business Development Center. It will draw in more than 2,800 companies all over the world to showcase their food and beverages in 10 pavilions with a total of 115,000 square meters of exhibition area.
More than 650,000 exhibitors and visitors are expected to attend the fair in May.
