The One Lujiazui building in Lujiazui got Pudong's first smart vending machine in place on Feb 12, with over 50 items on offer.

Different from the traditional vending machines that let items fall to the pickup point, the smart one puts items ordered gently on the inner conveyor and passes on to the pickup point. It is suitable for selling items in glass package.

At present, customers can pay on site through Unionpay, Alipay or WeChat Pay, or order online and get the items at the machine. During the Spring Festival, customers can get small presents by finishing the online questionnaire.

Operator of the smart vending machine uses big data management to analyze surrounding workers' consuming habits and preferences, and constantly adjust its items to keep in line with trends and customer feedbacks.
