A female donkey legendarily fell in love with a zebra recently in Suqian Zoo, and the donkey is now pregnant.
A keeper surnamed Wang in the zoo said that the zebra has been living in the zoo for two years. When the donkey came to the zoo last March, it fought with the zebra for quite some time. However, after several weeks, their relationship eased. Later, Wang was surprised to find that the two "fell in love".
The donkey is expected to give birth to a "zonkey" in May or June. According to an experienced keeper in the zoo, the new-born baby will have the body of a donkey and legs of a zebra.
