Dunhuang city holds competitions to boost tourism

Dunhuang city, a famous tourist destination in northwest China's Gansu province will hold three competitions to publicize the city’s tourism. The competitions include a travel photography contest, blog article competition and micro video competition.
Dunhuang's tourism bureau will host the competitions and request that all entries should revolve around the characteristics of Dunhuang city, such as its history, landscapes, customs and people.
The travel photography contest is open to college students who have taken pictures of Dunhuang. The blog article competition is themed on the phrase, "Find Different Sides of Dunhuang", while the video competition will collect videos of Yumenguan Pass and Yangguan Pass, two scenic spots in the area.
The closing date for entries is March 31. The winners of the competitions will receive prizes 2,000 yuan ($320.6).
