Eleven students from Wuxi Children's Palace recently won awards for their works at the 43rd International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice (ICEFA Lidice) 2015.

Richard Karpacz, consul general of the Czech consulate, presented the honor certificates and medals to these students on Mar 10.

ICEFA Lidice was established to commemorate the child victims from the Czech village of Lidice murdered by German Nazis, as well as all other children who have died in wars. Featuring the theme of the 2015 International Year of Light as announced by the United Nations, this exhibition was held in the hope of bringing more power and passion to people.

Using different materials and techniques of expression, the students of Calligraphy and Painting Department of Wuxi Children's Palace vividly expressed their understanding of "light" in their diversified, creative and affecting works, and showed their forthright, sincere and unvarnished emotions, as well as their bold and original imagination.
