The first stop during the Changzhou visit was the China-Australian Paper-cut Art Exchange Exhibition, where both traditional Jiangsu paper-cut works and western contemporary artworks were on display side-by-side.
"As the home of a wide-variety of paper-cutting works, Changzhou boasts many brilliant artists. That is why we chose Changzhou to hold this exhibition," said Jill Morgan, president of Victoria Multicultural Arts Association, the co-organizer of the exhibition.
Morgan expressed her hope to further deepen bilateral relations with Changzhou through more cultural programs that she said would showcase the essence of a nation and the characteristics of its people.
