Jinan

As the capital of the coastal economic province of East China——Shandong Province, Jinan is the province’s political, economic, cultural, scientific, educational and financial center, and the sub provincial city and open coastal city approved by the state.

Jinan is also the province’s railway, highway and airport transportation hub, and at the intersection of the Jinghu Railway and the Jiaoji Railway. The length of highway opens to traffic it has is 11011 kilometers.

Each variety of culture enjoys harmonious development in Jinan, which owns 14 art troupes, 143 culture or public art centers, 19 cinemas and 156 cultural relics sites under city-level protection, among which, 12 are under state-level protection.

In 2009, Jinan initiates a series of signs of city cultural images, which includes City Sign, City Tree, City Flower, City Bird, Mascot and the Spring Girl.
