Beijing-based localization company CSOFT launches "I Translate" campaign
Beijing-headquartered CSOFT International, a leading provider of translation services and globalization solutions, announced the launch of the "I Translate" campaign, an initiative aimed at showing appreciation to translators worldwide and raising awareness about the importance of language on Sept 17.
The movement was formally introduced at the CSOFT's 11th annual summit in Beijing, by the company's president and CEO Shunee Yee.
"The art of translation is breaking barriers among nations, making our world smaller while at the same time broadening our horizons," said Yee.
"It is with their help that companies can seamlessly and confidently enter different markets. They play such an important role in reshaping global businesses and transforming the world, so we want to give them the attention they deserve."
The campaign will run through the end of the year and will include a regular monthly competition, which will be carried out through CSOFT's Facebook account.
The movement will also provide a platform where people can voice their support and pride for the art of translation.
During the campaign launch, Yee invited several distinguished CSOFT's linguists on stage to share their passion for languages and translation, including Marina Ilari, Emma Kuo, Helen Zinni, Rodrigo Gaion De Oliveira, and Rafet Saltik.
"Language not only connects us with each other but it's also a way of life," adds Yee.
"With more than 6,500 different languages spoken in our world, translators help bridge that gap. I hope the campaign can bring unity to different communities around the world and enable us to discuss and solve challenges related to the localization industry," she said.
