Residents of Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province will now be able to enjoy lavender in the city's Xiangcao Farm without going far to the Provence in France, as a farm featuring a vast field of lavender will open to public on Oct 1, said an official.
He further informed that, with an investment of 18 million yuan ($2.82 million), the farm covers an area of 180 mu (12 hectares). It has functions of agriculture, sightseeing and leisure. Apart from the lavender field, the farm also has cherry blossoms, coreopsis and verbena, rose and orchid.

The farm also offers camp renting service to allow visitors to spend a romantic night in the farm, enjoying the flower fragrance and shining stars.
In addition, the farm highlights a clay shooting club, orchards, a succulent plants exhibition hall and a water park.
