DRC delegation makes a survey in Hainan province

A delegation of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) led by its President Li Wei surveyed the rural finance of Hainan, the southernmost province of China, on Nov 6-8; they also reviewed the Hainan International Tourism Island construction project.

Li Wei gave a keynote speech at the Inaugural DRC - Harvard Forum organized by the DRC and Harvard University during the survey, and met with Luo Baoming, Secretary of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee, and Liu Cigui, governor of Hainan province.

The delegation made field surveys at the Rural Commercial Bank Haikou branch, China Postal Savings Bank Hainan branch, the Tanmen town of Qionghai city, and Lingshui county.

Joining the survey were DRC's research fellows, including Hou Yongzhi, Director-General of the Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, Ye Xingqing, Director-General of the Research Department of Rural Economy, and Zhang Chenghui, Director-General of the Research Institute for Finance.
