What are the exhibits?

A variety of forest and wood products will be showcased to meet the demands of relevant Chinese and ASEAN enterprises to enhance bilateral exchanges and cooperation. The Exhibition will set up six sections for mahogany furniture, wood-based panels & wood structure, forestry equipment, flowers & seedlings and forestry economic development and cooperation. The Exhibition will highlight distinctive products, quality projects and advanced technology that China and ASEAN are highly complementary to each other in the industry. It is worth mentioning that Dongxing city of Fangchenggang, Guangxi, China, home to leading players of the manufacturing of mahogany furniture in Southwest China, will charter an independent hall to showcase high-end mahogany furniture for the very first time. The Exhibition will be a professional, convenient and effective platform for you to find partners and to buy furniture, panels, woodworking machinery, flowers, seedlings and any other things in the industry.

Are there any sideline programs during the exhibition period?

Apart from the opening ceremony, a string of programs will be arranged during the exhibition period, including the 5th China (Nanning) International Forestry Trade Forum, China-ASEAN Wood-based Panels Cooperation and Development Conference, China-ASEAN International Wood Culture Forum, procurement meetings and project matching meetings, etc. All of these programs will help establish and improve the working mechanisms between China and ASEAN, initiate cooperation projects, press ahead the bilateral forestry cooperation and offer more market intelligence for the participating enterprises, thus to further explore the markets of China and ASEAN.

How is the Exhibition?

The Exhibition, as one of the specialized exhibition of the CAEXPO, has been concluded successfully and productively for five straight sessions, with the exhibition size expanding from 10,000 sqm at the 1st session to 30,000 sqm at the 5th one. Exhibits have been expanded from wood furniture and products to products under the whole industry chain including mahogany furniture, forestry economic products and woodworking machinery, etc. ASEAN exhibiting enterprises are increasingly enthusiastic to join the Exhibition as exhibitors. Vietnam has chartered an independent hall for five straight sessions. Malaysia, Lao PDR and Myanmar also sent exhibiting enterprises to join the Exhibition. International organizations like APFNet and Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) and world famous enterprises like GMO and Georgia-Pacific Corporation are keen to join the event as trade visitors.

Important highlight

The Exhibition will be served as a promising platform for international capacity cooperation. The Chinese government has mapped out measures to push forward international capacity and equipment manufacturing cooperation. The International Capacity Cooperation Exhibition held at the just concluded 12th CAEXPO has produced rich outcomes. In this connection, the Wood Exhibition will bridge the international capacity cooperation by showcasing advanced forestry equipment and high-end wood-based panels and wood structure and arranging relevant forums, with an aim to strengthen the exchanges between China and ASEAN in capacity cooperation and upgrade and improve the supporting services of the Exhibition, so as to grow into a platform for China, ASEAN and other countries along the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road to conduct capacity cooperation.
