Guangxi museum exhibits collections of 'Singing Genius' Liu Sanjie

An exhibition commemorating the work of legendary singer, Liu Sanjie, is being held for the first time at the Museum of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Nanning, capital of Guangxi, from April 9 to 19.
Entitled "Beautiful South, Classic Glamour – Liu Sanjie Cultural Collection Exhibition", the event is being held throughout the Double Third Day Festival, giving visitors the chance to see folk artifacts from the collection of local expert, Xie Zhongguo.
A total of 1,000 pieces are being displayed in a timeline and divided into 10 categories including books, posters, New Year paintings, playbills, albums, living goods, school supplies and art wares.
Xie has collected articles about the famous folk singer for 19 years with the exhibition being in preparation for the past three years. "As a culture publicity worker, I have a responsibility to promote and develop national culture. The collections are of great significance to research Liu Sanjie and help develop it into a cultural brand," Xie said.
To commemorate the spirit of Liu Sanjie, Guangxi museum will also hold a series of activities such as the Guangxi and Taiwan Folk Song and Dance Performance.
