Jiangsu media tour arrives in Yangzhou

The national media tour of 2016 Beautiful Jiangsu, Noble Morals paid a visit to Yangzhou on June 23 to conduct interviews on regional cultural construction activities, News.xhby.net reported.

Members from model families shared stories about daily life at a meeting held in Wenyuan community in Hanjiang district, Yangzhou.

Wang Wenhua, an 81-year-old veteran of the Korean War, set up Yangzhou's first community flag-raising platform several years ago. With Wang's strong resolution and perseverance, the national flag is raised in the community every day, except when it rains.

Shen Yi, a 90-year-old veteran said that China's prosperity mustn't ignore the sacrifice of revolutionary martyrs, and in this respect, he also praised good family traditions. He added that everyone should be grateful for all they have and appreciate those around them

Ren Ye, Wenyuan community Party secretary, said that the community's civility has improved with rounds of appraisals and meetings.
