Weinan Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone

Weinan Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone was officially upgraded by the State Council to a national development zone in 2010.

In 2012, the State Council officially approved Xianyang Hi-tech Industries Development Zone, Yulin Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, and Yulin Hi-tech Industrial Park to be upgraded to national high-tech zones. The two hi-tech zones are new national business cards for the province, following Xi’an, Baoji, Yangling and Weinan high-tech industrial development zones. Shaanxi now has six such zones, the fourth highest provincial number in the country.

Xi’an Chan-Ba Ecological District

Known as the Chan-Ba Ecological District, it is located in the northeast of Xi’an. The development focuses on the Chan River and the Ba River to create a third generation modern city embracing finance, business, exhibition facilities, tourism, lifestyle trends and innovation industries.

The district was established in September 2004 with a vision to build the zone into a beautiful ecological environment that harmonizes man and nature in Xi’an, a third generation metropolis. Ecological, cultural and modern are the three major characteristics of the regional development.

Chan-Ba Ecological District is the permanent site of the Eurasian Economic Forum and the site of the 2011 World Horticultural Expo. It is also the future financial and business district of Xi’an. The ecological zone will be a natural tourism destination with charming landscapes and a sense of history, a civilized place to visit or live in.
