Cultural activities in Wuchang during 2016

Cultural and recreational activities have been organized by cultural education offices in Wuchang town, Harbin, Heilongjiang province, including science education centers, studies of Chinese ancient civilization, and volunteer work on culture. The followings are the main jobs done by the cultural education offices in 2016.

First, 10 areas of the town all have their own art troupes and 11 villages all have their own places reserved for cultural activities. More than 100 volunteers have played a role in holding various activities.

Second, volunteers guided villagers to take part in activities held by the municipal propaganda department, including learning about Leifeng and visiting the elderly.

Third, every community held celebrations for International Working Women's Day, May Day and International Children's Day.

Fourth, the historical artifacts exhibition was held in March and it was highly praised by the cultural department.

Fifth, activities were held to help meet the needs of ordinary people, such as learning about parenting.

Sixth, a group competition for the 33rd Harbin Summer Music Festival was held in July, which many folk singers participated in.

Seventh, different commemorative activities were held to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
