It's never too late to fulfill your dreams!

A woman in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, has just received her passport at the age of 101 and is planning some foreign travel.

Yangtse.com is reporting that the centenarian, surnamed Liu, is fighting fit despite her age, and since retirement has enjoyed travelling as often as possible.

She was often to be found travelling by bus around Wuxi all by herself, and she has been to lots of places in China in the company of her family members. Now her dream is to travel around the world.

Her family members fully support her plan. One of her ten children, a younger daughter, told reporters that her mother's early life had been tough, and that they all wanted her to enjoy the rest of her life to the full.

There is no age limit in China to apply for passport, according to industry insiders. However, they are keen to point out that people should pay special attention to the security of elderly people while travelling. Seniors may also need to show a health certificate from a hospital before getting a flight ticket.

With that in mind, Liu's family members have reportedly looked into travelling by boat, and are planning visits to Japan and South Korea.
