Zhongguancun promotes life in its Maker Town

Zhongguancun's Maker Town has reached strategic agreements with nearly a hundred incubation and financial institutes and will open by the end of 2016.

The town will connect to the center of the Zhongguancun Science Park in the near future and will form a good entrepreneurship atmosphere taking advantage of its regional position.

Meanwhile, it will set an "incubators+accelerators" strategy as its base and focus on offering maker spaces, innovative businesses and public service.

Compared to traditional industrial parks and maker spaces, the Zhongguancun Maker Town realizes the transformation from "co-working" to "co-working+living", which means the Town also offers flats for entrepreneurs.

In the first phase of construction, 2772 flats with kitchens, bathrooms and furnishings are on offer.

Additionally, institutions such as kindergartens, canteens, gyms and nursing services are provided in the park to deal with entrepreneurs' family considerations.

The government of Wenquan town, in which the Maker Town will be located, has put forward a policy prioritizing entrepreneurs' children for school entrance to further encourage talents to settle down in the zone.
