The 5th China Jiangsu Conference for International Technology Transfer and Commercialization (CITTC) took place in Nanjing on Nov 9-11.

The three-day event was jointly hosted by China's Ministry of Science and Technology and the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government with the aim of gathering global innovation resources and serving enterprises' innovation needs.

The conference attracted more than 500 people to register online since it opened the CITTC i-PIC system and helped to carry out 429 pre-scheduled meetings in the past three months.

The event featured a variety of activities, including a plenary session, technology briefings, B2B meetings and site visits.

During the conference, Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute agreed to play a role in seven overseas projects, after watching 17 programs presented by a variety of countries including the US, Germany and Japan. The institute also signed cooperative agreements with eight world-class universities and R&D institutes, including Harvard University.

Professor Fawwaz Habbal, dean of the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (HSEAS), said he had visited Jiangsu last year and was impressed by Jiangsu's achievements in nanotechnology and semiconductors. The cooperation between the two sides will help develop these high-tech fields even further.
