Background Information of CISMEF and Co-host Mechanism

IV. Mechanism of co-host countries (organizations) is very meaningful and effective to promote cooperation between SMEs in China and their counterparts in co-host countries and organizations CISMEF is greatly featured by the mechanism of co-host countries (organizations). Governments of co-host countries and co-host organizations help invite SMEs to the event, thus encouraging products and services of these SMEs into market of China.

CISMEF has become an important platform for SME exchanges and platform of all countries and international organizations, thus being quite meaningful improving SME competitiveness of co-host countries and organizations and deepening economic and trade relations between them. The mechanism of co-host countries (organizations) not only ensures SMEs of co-host countries (organizations) receive best exhibition polices in CISMEF, but also collectively presents their image, expands influence of exhibitors and promotes trade and cooperation. Besides, CISMEF also provides the co-host countries with a platform for exchanges of diverse cultures and art, thus helping promote national image of co-host countries.

V. Facts of the 14th CISMEF

The 14th CISMEF will continue to theme on “intelligence, wisdom, smart manufacturing and energy conservation”, which will be held in two venues at different times. South Africa is the co-host country and UNIDO is the co-host organization of the 14th CISMEF. The Domestic Theme Exhibitions (Province, Municipality and Autonomous Region Exhibition & Cross-border E-commerce Exhibition) and International Exhibition will be held in PWTC Expo on October 10-13, 2017.

International exhibition plan to cover 20,000 square meters with at least 1,000 international standard booths, which include Exhibition Area for Co-host Country, International Exhibition Area for the Belt & Road Initiative, other international exhibition areas and Exhibition Area for HK, Macao and Taiwan. Intelligent manufacturing, and “Internet+” Exhibition, Exhibition of Intelligent Building and Smart Home, Exhibition of Energy Conservation and other dedicated exhibitions will be held in Guangdong (Tanzhou) International Exhibition and Convention Center on October 12-15 and 20-23, 2017.

Concurrently, China SMEs Summit, the 2nd Asia-Europe SME Financing Seminar, SMEs Cross-border Business Matchmaking Activity and Makers Competition, etc. will be held. The 14th CISMEF will continue the professional and market-oriented efforts while enhancing international development. The CISMEF platform will help expand international exchanges and cooperation among SMEs, which will combine resources and benefit each other to facilitate effective cooperation between SMEs in China and their counterparts in other countries and regions in the world so as to share accomplishments of development.
