SMEs given global stage at Guangzhou fair

The 14th China International Small and Medium Enterprise Fair (CISMEF), an event forenterprises to showcase their products and tap into the Chinese market, was inaugurated in Guangzhou on Oct 10.

The event is held by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the Ministry of Small Business Development of South Africa and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

It covers an exhibition area of more than 150,000 square meters with nearly 3,000 exhibitors from home and abroad showcasing their technologies and products across 6,282 booths.

According to the organizers, More than 12,000 merchants have registered for the event, as well as a total of 265 domestic and foreign enterprises and 539 individuals have signed up for 10 matchmaking events including Intelligent Manufacturing Products Matchmaking and Energy-conserving and Environmentally-friendly Products Matchmaking.

International and domestic exhibitions will be held at the Poly World Trade Center Expo from Oct 10 to 13; Intelligent Manufacturing and "Internet+" Exhibition, Smart Building Materials and Home Decoration Exhibition, Energy Conservation Exhibition will be held in two sessions at the Guangdong Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center from Oct 12 to 15 and Oct 20 to 23.
