The 6th International Wine Festival was held at the Western International Wine Trade Center of the Xi'an International Trade and Logistics (ITL) Park from Oct 21 to 22, bringing wine from around the globe to Xi'an, Shaanxi province.
Sponsored by the ITL administrative committee and Baima Wine Co Ltd, the event lured 120 companies, 31 from abroad, and helped people learn about wine culture while providing them with cooperation opportunities as well.
Su Guofeng, director of the ITL administrative committee, said at the opening ceremony that the success of the previous five sessions showed the ITL park's favorable conditions and vast prospects in the wine industry and that its activities have significantly boosted international trade cooperation.

Vineyards cover up to 48,667 hectares in Shaanxi province and its wine industrial chain has kept enlarging in recent years. A cultural center and a museum are planned to strengthen exchanges with countries and regions along the Belt and Road, Su added.
"This is my fifth visit to the festival. I think the historic city of Xi'an boasts a huge consumption potential," said Ruud Karsdorp, a Spanish wine dealer confident about Xi'an's market.
An exhibitor from Xi'an expressed her gratitude for the festival, saying "Thanks to the event, I have sold out all of the dozens of boxes of wine I purchased from overseas wineries to help more people get access to high-quality wine."
