Global Programmers' Festival seeks prominent programmers

A selection campaign for new and prominent programmers of the 2nd Global Programmers' Festival was held in 17 cities across the country from Sept 18 to 20.

The festival will commence in Xi'an, Shaanxi province on Oct 24.

Excellent programmers, unicorn companies, gazelle enterprises, software companies and information technology companies all responded positively to the campaign in Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

The splendid activities in various places sparked an amazing reaction. Everyone enjoyed the event seeking for programmer idols in the new era.

Representatives of the JointForce of ChinaSoft International, which is the organizer of the event, introduced the development of Xi'an's "Belt and Road" software and information service industry. They also briefed on the background of the Global Programmers' Festival and reviewed the grand occasion of last year's first festival.

Companies and individuals who participate in the selection can not only shine on the world stage of the Global Programmers' Festival, but also enjoy the gathering for programmers and software information technology practitioners around the world.

Software parks and science and technology association leaders were invited from all over the country. They expressed their wishes for the successful holding of the second Global Programmer's Festival in Xi'an and blessed the enterprises and individuals who participated in the selection.

The organizer also pre-heated the "Liberation Cup" programmer contest, which is also an important event of the festival.

A number of companies and individuals expressed great interest in signing up for the selection and contest, and actively exchanged discussions.

During last year's festival, China Electronic Information Industry Federation launched the "Meritorious Programmer" selection campaign, and eventually selected ten meritorious programmers including Wang Yongmin, Yan Yuanchao, Gong Min, Qiu Bojun, Lei Jun, Zhang Xiaolong, Ding Lei, Wang Xiaochuan, Zhang Yiming and Yinqi, which caused widespread attention and positive response in the industry and even the whole society.
