Global Programmers' Festival kicks off in XHTZ

The opening ceremony of the 2nd Global Programmers' Festival was held in the Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone (XHTZ) on Oct 24, attracting software industry leaders and top programmers from home and abroad as well as well-known scholars and scientists.

Xi'an is accelerating the pace of digital software development to build "China Software City". The two-day event aims to encourage all walks of life around the world to focus on programmers and strengthen communication between them.

At the opening ceremony, the four sub-venues of Silicon Valley, Bangalore, Beijing and Nanjing interacted with the main venue of Xi'an. Programmers from all over the world congratulated Xi'an at the grand opening of the festival.

The opening ceremony also unveiled the National Top 10 New Leading programmer talents, and presented awards to the Top 10 Programmers in Xi'an, Top 10 Programmers in the Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone and the Top 10 Programmers of Universities in Xi'an.

In addition, leading programmers as well as well-known scholars and scientists in related fields gave keynote speeches, allowing each participant to feel the charm and attractions of software.

With the theme of "Coding the Future", the event included, in addition to the opening ceremony and main forum, three theme forums, one roundtable summit, one carnival, one programmer contest, four selections, two national releases, and one project centralized signing ceremony.

The 2nd Global Programmers' Festival has given full play to Xi'an's advantages in the software industry, building a multi-level communication platform for global software IT talents and promoting exchanges and cooperation between Xi'an and the countries along the Belt and Road.
