The tight economic cooperation between Shaanxi, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao

The 8th Shaanxi-Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Economic Cooperation Week is under way. And the event is expected to play an important role in expanding trade and economic cooperation between Shaanxi, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
Guo Shaomin, deputy director general of Shaanxi provincial department of commerce, urged business representatives from Shaanxi to spare no effort in increasing exchanges, seeking more business opportunities and further expanding cooperation with counterparts from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao during the event.
"Meanwhile Shaanxi welcomes investors and business representatives from home and abroad to set up their facilities and do business in Shaanxi province," Guo made the remarks at the opening ceremony on Saturday.

More than 200 major companies from Shaanxi participate in the event that aims to showcase Shaanxi’s economic development in the past four decades and demonstrate the province’s determination to open its door to outside world. And they are displaying their latest technologies and high-quality products to increase sales and seek cooperation opportunities at exhibition halls that cover a floor space of more than 5,000 square meters.
Meanwhile special business talks, presentations, trade fairs and contract signing ceremonies will also be organized to help boost exchanges and cooperation during the event.
Li Yongyi, deputy director general of Guangdong provincial department of commerce, said Guangdong is eager to further expand economic ties and cooperation with Shaanxi province relying on its abundant natural and tourism resources."The cooperation with Shaanxi benefits both provinces," he said.
Shaanxi’s gross domestic product reached about 2.2 trillion yuan ($328.36 billion) last year, up year-on-year by eight percent and reaching the 15th last economy in the mainland. And the province that has established trade and economic cooperation relation with more than 190 countries and regions around the world reached a foreign trade volume reached 300 billion yuan in 2017.
