 Population: 80,507,000 (2018)

Area: 107,200 square kilometers

Location: Jiangsu province is located along the eastern coast of China. With the Yellow Sea to its east, the province borders Anhui and Shandong provinces to the west and north respectively, and is adjacent to Zhejiang province and Shanghai in the southeast.

Economy

Economically, Jiangsu province ranks second among China's provinces. Together with Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Anhui, it forms part of the Yangtze River Delta Megalopolis.

The overall economic strength of Jiangsu province has improved significantly since 2012. It’s economy in 2018 witnessed high-speed growth but the growth rate was within a reasonable range.

GDP in East China's Jiangsu province was predicted to rise by 6.7 percent to 9.2 trillion yuan ($1.36 trillion) last year and the consumer price level rose by 2.3 percent year-on-year.

Administrative divisions

Jiangsu province governs 13 cities - Nanjing, Wuxi, Xuzhou, Changzhou, Suzhou, Nantong, Lianyuangang, Huai’an, Yancheng, Yangzhou, Zhenjiang, Taizhou, and Suqian, 19 counties - Fengxian, Peixian, Suining, Rudong, Donghai, Guanyun, Guannan, Lianshui, Xuyi, Jinhu, Xiangshui, Binhai, Funing, Sheyang, Jianhu, Baoying, Shuyang, Siyang, and Sihong, 22 county-level cities - Jiangyin, Yixing, Xinyi, Pizhou, Liyang, Changshu, Zhangjiagang, Kunshan, Taicang, Qidong, Rugao, Haimen, Hai’an, Dongtai, Yizheng, Gaoyou, Danyang, Yangzhong, Jurong, Xinghua, Jingjiang, and Taixing, 55 urban districts - Xuanwu, Qinhuai, Jianye, Gulou, Pukou, Qixia, Yuhuatai, Jiangning, Liuhe, Lishui, Gaochun, Xishan, Huishan, Binhu, Liangxi, Xinwu, Gulou, Yunlong, Jiawang, Quanshan, Tongshan, Tianning, Zhonglou, Xinbei, Wujin, Jintan, Huqiu, Wuzhong, Xiangcheng, Gusu, Wujiang, Chongchuan, Gangzha, Tongzhou, Lianyun, Haizhou, Ganyu, Huai’an, Huaiyin, Qingjiangpu, Hongze, Tinghu, Yandu, Dafeng, Guangling, Hanjiang, Jiangdu, Jingkou, Runzhou, Dantu, Hailing, Gaogang, Jiangyan, Sucheng, and Suyu.
