BOE in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, or E-town, was recently named an intellectual property (IP) model by the State Intellectual Property Office. It’s the first company in the town to receive the honor. Stargroup Research & Integration Co. and Changzheng Engineering Co. were named competitive IP companies. To date, there are five such competitive companies in E-town.
The town has continuously improved intellectual property protections over the years, and has received many honors, including national IP pilot park and international IP communication and cooperation facility in Beijing. More than 8,000 patents were filed last year, and nearly 4,000 were approved. Patents for inventions doubled from 2011. E-town has become an important driving force in intellectual property development in Beijing.
The town will strive to nurture enterprises and develop crucial technologies, patents, and financial innovation.
