Goldwind recently launched its new FreeMeso wind power and weather service platform. The app was designed for selecting wind power station sites.

The app provides general site selection, customization, generating capacity estimations, economic evaluations, and weather forecasts. It is a 3D GIS visualization platform which makes the site selection more accurate and convenient.

With the help of the new app, the Goldwind engineers finished the site selection work for two wind power stations in Zhangjiakou in only one day, with only computers and cell phones, which deeply impressed the client because the work would usually take much longer.

FreeMeso can provide services such as route recording and photo collecting, and engineers can synchronize the data online in their own separate accounts. Users need bring only their cellphones to work in the field, and can share the data with others through the app. This direct sharing method avoids possible mistakes compared with language communications.

Site selection of a wind power station is crucial for the revenue of an entire wind power station project. The FreeMeso app has made the work much easier for engineers.
