Tax revenue off to good start in 2016
The E-town tax bureau reported revenue of 8.63 billion yuan over the past two months, a year-on-year increase of 16.9 percent, and 29.5 percent of the target of 29.27 billion yuan for the whole year.
The vehicle industry led in tax payments. Beijing Benz sold 75,000 cars, an increase of 59.6 percent, paying tax of 3.34 billion yuan, an increase of 62.9 percent. With the help of Beijing Benz, the whole industry saw an increase in tax payments in the first two months.
The development of intelligent manufacturing also generated a great deal of tax revenue. The four main industries in E-town contributed 6.38 billion yuan in total, an increase of 23.2 percent, accounting for 77.5 percent of the entire tax income.
Taxes from car, medical, and equipment manufacturing increased at rates of 62.4 percent, 32.3 percent and 27.6 percent respectively.
The “Internet+” strategy also created an increase in tax revenue from traditional enterprises.
