Bayer, Peking University cooperate on more than ten medical research projects

Bayer and Peking University co-organized a “2016 drug development and translational research forum” to celebrate the third year of their cooperation. They launched more than ten new translational research projects at the forum, and named two outstanding professors from Peking University as “Bayer researcher”.
The two honored scientists outlined their achievements in the field of life science which include the development of nucleic acid correcting and research into the role of specific proteins in cancer development. Bayer signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with Peking University in 2014. They jointly established the Bayer-Peking University Drug Research and Translational Research Center, and have successfully completed some projects.
Bayer is the world’s leading innovative pharmaceutical company, particularly in the field of diabetes treatment and cardiovascular disease. By 2015 Bayer had invested more than 20 billion euros in research. It currently has more than 240 scientists in the Beijing international research center.
