"Intelligent robot industry and capital market forum" held in E-Town
On Oct 23, the 2016 World Robot Conference, the "Intelligent robot industry and capital market forum", hosted by Tide Investment Group, E-Town Capital and the Beijing Venture and Investment Alliance was held in E-Town International Exhibition & Convention Center.More than 300 representatives from entrepreneurship and investment companies, fund management firms, robot companies, and research institutions were in attendance.
The former director of the China Development Bank and CEO of China Development Bank Securities Gao Jian said in a speech that the capital market forum is indispensable to the sustainable development of the robot industry, which depends not only on advanced technologies and government support, but also on capital. The successful strategic commercialization of research by international developed countries and domestic robot listed companies shows that the investment and merger functions of capital markets can promote the development of a domestic robot industry. A robot industry investment fund should be encouraged in those places having better robot industry foundations to attract more social capital.

The vice-chairman of the China Association for Public Companies Li Xiaoxue says that his association will emphasize an innovative development strategy for domestic listed companies with a view to changing their international status and making them leaders in the robotics field. The strategy will be implemented in four parts. The first is to encourage listed companies to develop robotics, which is an important step in any intelligent manufacturing environment. The second is to lead the listed companies to develop the robot industry through capital markets, which could increase the industry’s development by a factor of four. The third is to support listed companies as they develop in the robotics industry. The fourth is to specifically support listed companies’ efforts to apply advanced technology to the developing field.
The purpose of the capital market forum was to encourage social capital and especially domestic listed companies to develop robot industries and merger investment funds to promote robotics development. Zhang Jianwei, an academician of sciences and professor from Germany’s University of Hamburg, Hong Lei, the head of the China Securities Investment Fund Association, and Yao Feng, the secretary of the party committee and deputy head of the China Association of listed companies all spoke on integration of artificial intelligence and robotics. Zhang remarked on the promotion of future innovative industry, Hong spoke of creating investment funds to promote sustainable development of the robot industry, and Yao talked about listed companies’ efforts to promote the development of the industry in China.
