Outstanding employees of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (E-town) were commended at a ceremony held just in time for Labor Day, according to local media.

Gao Yanjie, a top official in E-town, addressed the ceremony and praised workers that have made contributions to the development of the area. Gao called for the spirit of hard work and innovation to achieve the area’s goal of “Created in E-town”.

The ceremony announced the winners of national, provincial and municipal-level model worker awards.

Also, a total of 10 E-town-based companies including BOE and BBAC were recognized for innovation at the ceremony.
