JD.com, one of China’s largest online retailers, is set to establish a robotics R&D and production center in Beijing’s Economical-Technological Development Area (E-town).

A groundbreaking ceremony was held in E-town on April 27. The project will cover an area of 44,167.8 square meters, with the total floorage of 131,351 square meters.
