Innovation and entrepreneurship competition starts in E-town
The third session of Beijing E-town Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition opened in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (E-town) on June 9, according to local media.
Around 100 E-town officials, experts and scholars attended the launch ceremony of the annual innovation and entrepreneurship competition taking place at Jing-Jin-Ji Global Roadshow Center.

The competition is aimed at attracting a wide range of projects covering areas including electronic information, the internet, biomedicine and advanced manufacturing.
The best entries will have the chance of winning an award of more than 1 million yuan ($14.68 million).
Hosted by E-town, the competition has attracted some 1,200 projects since it opened in 2015. More than 20 projects won the first, second and third prizes and have based themselves in E-town. More than 300 projects have won venture investment.
This year, the competition will have divisions in North America and Europe to facilitate the area’s efforts to develop itself into an international platform for innovation and entrepreneurship.
