E-town to open World Robot Conference on Aug 23

The 2017 World Robot Conference (WRC 2017) is to open in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (E-town) on Aug 23, according to a press conference held on Aug 8.
The five-day conference, themed around Win-Win Collaborative Innovation toward the Building of an Intelligent Society, will run until Aug 27.
People participating in the event will include industry leaders and more than 300 experts in related fields from home and abroad.
Cutting-edge products produced by some 140 domestic and foreign companies including KUKA and JD.com will be shown at an exhibition covering an area of 50,000 square meters.
Jeff Burnstein, President of the Association for Advancing Automation, Jeremy Watson, President of The Institution of Engineering and Technology, and Vitaly Nedelskiy, President of Russian Association of Robotics, will give lectures on the status quo of robotics and its future direction.
